I am Marjolein, the author of this blog. Ever since I was a child I was fond of stuffed animals. While my mother used to sew our clothes when we were kids, I learned a lot of sewing techniques from her. My first stuffed animals I created when I was 7: very happy looking creatures.
Fast forward, in 2015 I rediscovered the fun of creating these characters again. With different techniques like sewing, crocheting or knitting there are endless possibilities to explore. I see this as a long and joyful journey and I like to take you on this in my blog.
In my daily life I live with my boyfriend in the center of Leiden, the Netherlands. From our home we have a stunning view: we overlook a crossing of canals where we can watch the boats sailing by. We have 2 cats, both full of character, who are a good inspiration for the creation of new stuffed animals.
